Tennis Idioms

Tennis is a game in which two or four players hit a ball with tennis rackets over a net stretched across a court. There are so many idioms we use in daily conversation that have connection with sport.


Examples: 


Grand Slam - means the player wins all four tennis opens: The French, Wimbledon, Australian, U.S Open. it also required as a super win


Match Point - means the last point of the match


The Ball Is In Your Court - means it is your turn to hit the ball


To Draw The Line - means a line drawn which marks the end of a court of play


To Get Into The Full Swing Of Things - means to adjust completely to a new situation
